it’s been a long few months leading up to this presidential election – and what a nail-biting night last night was! no matter your party, whether you won or lost, whether right now you are happy or disappointed, let us not forget the one place where we can do the most good: our own homes.
“But whatever the era, whatever the times, one thing will never change: Fathers and mothers, if you have children, they must come first. You must read to your children and you must hug your children and you must love your children. Your success as a family, our success as a society, depends not on what happens in the White House but on what happens inside your house.” Full address here.

i quoted james e. faust here because i was linking to the address he gave at general conference and wanted to highlight it as part of his overall message (it is a great talk!). but if you read his talk, you would notice that barbara bush was the person who originally said this. and though people are often quoted as saying something someone else originally said (because they quoted their words in one of their own speeches, etc.), i also made an image quoting barbara bush. so i will leave it up to you, if you decide to print this, who you would like to quote.*
