Ingredients

- 2 1/2 – 3 cups basil leaves, gently packed
- 3/4 cup fresh Parmesan cheese
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup pinenuts, toasted
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- kosher salt (1/4 teaspoon to start)
- fresh cracked pepper
- pasta, cooked and drained
Instructions
- place everything but olive oil in a food processor. give it a few pulses to get things going.
- slowly pour in olive oil while the food processor is running until you get a smooth consistency.
- mix in with your cooked, drained pasta. let sit a few minutes so the sauce can absorb into the pasta.
- optional: serve with chopped tomatoes, cooked chicken, and extra basil.
Notes
they say to toast the pine nuts, but i forgot to. it still turned out great!
